What are permissionless rewards?

Permissionless rewards allow anyone to create an ERC20 token reward that is created and claimed directly from a point program’s leaderboard page. Anyone can create a permissionless reward for any program on Stack. Eligible users can claim the reward immediately after it is created (or within the duration window set by the reward provider).

Creating a permissionless reward: step-by-step instructions 👇

1. Create a reward by selecting the 🎁 icon from a program’s leaderboard or the “reward” button on the Stack explore page and connecting the wallet that holds the token reward.

   

2. Add a banner image, reward title, and reward description to match your brand and provide context on the reward

   <aside> 💡 Tip: A good description gives the reward recipient a clear understanding of :

   • Who you are
   • Why you are providing them with this reward
   • What you would like them to know about your project/campaign/product/etc.

1. Enter token details including the token contract and chain, budget, distribution method (proportional to points or equal for all users), and qualifying criteria.

   

2. Enter a custom call-to-action (CTA) URL and button text ****that users will see immediately after claiming their reward

<aside> 💡 Why CTA after, rather than before, claiming?

• Surprise and delight rewards are a powerful tool for establishing an emotional connection with a user and creating a more memorable experience

• Users qualify themselves for further engagement if they organically take a CTA, rather than if they are required to

• Users are more open to trying something new when they feel they are playing with “house money” (e.g. using $DEGEN as the native currency on Drakula)
